Westchester Loyola Village Library - Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit community organization dedicated to supporting our local Los Angeles Library. We accomplish this primarily by promoting public involvement in the Library and by raising money through the Friends’ Library Book Store located at the Westchester Loyola Village Library on Manchester Boulevard.
Our mission is to be ever alert to the opportunities for enhancing the Library’s environment. The Friends are a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting and expanding what the Library offers to children and adults. We provide the Library with additional financial resources to purchase new books, magazine subscriptions, and computer equipment that are beyond its regular budget. In addition, we also help raise funds for Children’s Reading Programs, Special Events, and Compact Discs and Books-On-Tape.
We have a Used Book Store to sell donated books including current best sellers, cookbooks, children’s books, and a large variety of paperbacks, videos and much more at a nominal charge. Our current store hours.
The Friends are in need of book buyers and tax-deductible book donations. This is an opportunity to clean out your shelves and restock them with your favorite titles. Our local Library will first have the chance to put the books into the Library and if not needed, we will sell them at our bookstore. You may drop off your donations at the Westchester Loyola Village Library’s reference desk.
We are also in need of volunteers who would like to help with the bookstore so we can expand our hours and provide assistance for other Library activities.
By donating to The Friends, you will help to support the information and education needs of every citizen in this area.
Thank you for your interest in the Westchester Loyola Village Library - Friends of the Library.
